Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of MailDog ("MailDog", "we", "us"), including our website at maildog.io, webmail, email hosting, SMTP/IMAP/POP3 services, and related tools (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

MailDog provides email hosting: mailboxes on your own custom domain, webmail access, and standard email protocols. Features and storage capacity depend on the plan you choose. We may improve or modify the Service over time; we will not materially reduce the core functionality of a paid plan during a period you have already paid for.

You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account and mailboxes. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.

The free plan includes 200 MB of mailbox storage and requires no payment method. Paid plans (1 GB, 5 GB, 10 GB, or custom) are billed as monthly subscriptions. Payments are processed by our merchant of record, Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"), who handles checkout, billing, taxes and receipts. By purchasing you also agree to Paddle's buyer terms.

Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your billing page; your paid plan remains active until the end of the period you have paid for, after which your account moves to the free plan. If your stored mail then exceeds the free limit, incoming mail may be rejected until you are under the limit. Refunds are handled as described in our Refund Policy.

If a renewal payment fails we will retry it for a limited time. If payment cannot be collected, the subscription is cancelled and the account reverts to the free plan.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• send unsolicited bulk email (spam) or operate mailing lists without recipient consent;
• send phishing, malware, or otherwise deceptive or harmful content;
• violate any applicable law, or infringe the rights of others;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or other users' data;
• resell the Service without our written permission.

We may apply reasonable sending limits and filtering to protect the platform's deliverability. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without notice depending on severity.

You retain all rights to the email and data you store on the Service. You grant us only the limited rights needed to operate the Service (storing, transmitting, backing up and displaying your data to you). We do not sell your data or read your mail except as needed for support you request, abuse prevention, or as required by law — see our Privacy Policy.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate the Service for breach of these Terms, extended non-payment, or where required by law. Where practical we will give you notice and a chance to export your data. We may delete data of accounts that remain inactive for an extended period after notice.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". Email is a best-effort medium: we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, or that every message will be delivered or accepted by third-party providers. To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. You are responsible for keeping independent backups of critical data.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill.

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
